HOW OUR MARINE PRODUCTS ARE OBTAINED

Blue Liquid Group's products are exclusively obtained through sustainable fisheries. All of our products are obtained from the western Indian Ocean, FAO 51 / Maldives EEZ. Fisheries within this region is governed by the Maldivian government's regulatory bodies, particularly under the Maldivian Fisheries Act, which prevents unsustainable fishing practices.

Furthermore, the core of sustainability are the practices of fishing used to obtain the marine products. Below, the two methods by which our products are obtained will be discussed further.

POLE & LINE

Fish are caught using this method through the use of a pole and a line, using which a single fish is caught at a time.

Only a small portion from the school of fish is caught using this method, negating the changes of overfishing.

HAND LINE

Fish is caught using this method through a weighted line with bait attached to a hook at the end of the line. This practice also sustainable as a single fish is caught at a time.
